What you leave with
“My team can build the architecture. What we struggle with is explaining why it matters to the board.”
Technical leaders are increasingly operating at the boundary between engineering and business strategy. The expectation is no longer just that you deliver working systems — it’s that you shape the AI agenda, brief the board, manage vendors, and build governance frameworks that hold up under scrutiny.
Most technical training doesn’t address this. The Technology Leaders Masterclass fills that gap. In a full day, your technical team builds the frameworks, vocabulary, and governance skills to operate confidently at the intersection of AI architecture and business outcomes.
What’s covered
Six sessions across one day
AI foundations that actually hold
The data, API, and platform infrastructure that AI initiatives require to succeed — and the most common architectural decisions that cause programmes to stall six months in. How to assess your current state honestly and prioritise what to fix first.
Connecting architecture to business outcomes
How to frame technical decisions in the language of business value — cost, risk, time-to-market, and competitive advantage. The frameworks that help technical leaders brief boards, challenge vendor claims, and align engineering priorities with commercial objectives.
Governance for AI programmes
The governance structures, decision rights, and vendor management frameworks that experienced technical leaders use to keep AI programmes on track. How to spot scope creep early, manage integration risk, and build audit trails that satisfy compliance and board requirements.
Day structure
A full day built around your team’s real challenges
MORNING
09:00 — Scene-setting
Where AI programmes succeed and where they fail — and why the difference is almost always infrastructure and governance, not technology.
10:00 — AI-ready foundations
Assessing your current data, API, and platform landscape. Identifying the gaps that will undermine your next initiative and how to close them before the project starts.
11:30 — Architecture and business outcomes
Translating technical decisions into business language. Frameworks for briefing executives, evaluating vendors, and maintaining accountability across a programme.
AFTERNOON
14:00 — Governance in practice
Decision rights, escalation frameworks, vendor management, and compliance. Real examples from financial services and telco programmes across Asia-Pacific.
15:30 — Leading AI through uncertainty
Managing stakeholder expectations, communicating risk, and building organisational capability rather than vendor dependency.
16:30 — Action planning
Each participant leaves with a personal action plan: three things to change in the next 90 days, the blockers to address, and the conversations to have.
Who it’s for
For technical leaders operating at the strategy boundary
The masterclass is designed for CTOs, Chief Data Officers, VP Engineering, Head of Architecture, and senior technical leaders who are accountable for AI programmes — not just for their technical delivery, but for their business outcomes.
It runs best as an in-person session for teams of four to twelve, giving participants space to apply the frameworks to their own context during the working sessions. Virtual delivery is available for distributed teams.
- You’re accountable for an AI programme’s business outcome
— not just its technical delivery. - Your team has strong engineering skills
— but struggles to communicate architecture decisions upward. - You’ve been asked to brief the board on AI
— and want a structured way to frame the conversation. - You want your team to build internal capability
— not become dependent on external consultants for every decision.
